Nashville Pickers Radio c. 1968. I just restored this guitar radio, that I imported from the USA. It led me on a wild chase to get it repaired. The tuning capacitor was broken inside and a wire about the thickness of a human hair was broken inside an IF transformer. Patience is a virtue I'm told :-)
It had gone quite yellow with age, this is normal with many white plastic finishes. Nearly 50 years old and working again like new.
The tuning capacitor, about 1/2' square in size. The little trimmer screws at rear had shed their mica insulation inside and become faulty. I replaced it with one from another radio panel.
Just see the wire inside after I tinned it with the soldering iron before adding a short link to attach to centre pin on base. This was in a screening can, that I removed carefully, like opening a tin of sardines.
Company name made into a rear air vent.
