Keeping your original purchase in it's showroom display box is the best way of preserving it for me in the future. Cossor dates back to the 1920s and this radio is quite trendy looking for 1962, but using artwork styles that date back to the 20s makes it even more astounding to me. It came even with the guarantee card and instructions, also stored in the box were the new frequencies for the BBC in 1978 that were posted to all licence holders along with some sticky labels for the tuning dials.
The repair
Nothing was wrong all working fine, but I've included the service information for possible future use.
