Philips L2F30T

Designed for French use on long wave and medium wave bands. This handsome machine runs on 2 x 4.5 volt old type torch batteries, still available but quite expensive and a 1.5 volt (that I have no idea what its for but won't work without it.) Luckily with a PP3 battery and a matching clip attached it now works fine. I can't find a circuit or even another photo on line, so my guess is it was make in lager quantities under another model number or even another manufactures name (under license) as this is what Philips did in the mid-60's, that date I think it comes from. If anybody recognizes this design can you contact me - thanks
As with all Philips it is well made and designed, with a car aerial socket (most cars in the era didn't have built in radios, lol) although the carry handle is a little weak, broke when I picked it up, suspect it had been glued once before. The sensitivity and sound quality is very good as can can expect with Philips. I bought this from a gentleman in France, he wanted payment by cheque or banker's order, I sent him a cheque but his bank wouldn't accept English pounds? So eventually he let me pay by PayPal and returned my cheque. After I put the radio in a display cabinet I noticed a small dink in the speaker grille that was annoying me, so I stripped it all down and removed the metal grille and lightly pushed the dent out again, I find a rubber rounded handle to a screwdriver good for this as it can be rolled until the area is flat, I also bronze brushed some white corrosion away from the inside. Now I'm a happy man. It has such a nice look about it this one.
