Perdio PR7 'Londoner' radio 1958

 Pictured front-on, you get no idea of it's size, but but check video at end,  dotted hole pattern grille in plastic makes it look quite unique, made white or blue were the colours available at the time. 7 transistors in 1958 would have made it quite expensive at the time, Mullard 'OC' glass types, metal ones in sound output. They used and the chassis 'PC-16' in many other sets from 58-62, Piccadilly was one such model.  I waited for a red one to turn up for quite a while. When it did it was dirty and grubby, but the right price for me to restore.

The repair

First off was the on-off switch had stopped working, a sub miniature type, impossible to find, so I fitted a toddle switch in the car aerial socket at rear - won't be needed anytime soon. You can just see the blue rear of switch to the left of the tuning capacitor




As a final note I added a short video of unit, shows actual size better than photos.
